Dual Port Usage The KX-TA624 System is ready for expansion right from the start. You can easily connect a Panasonic proprietary telephone and a single-line device simultaneously to any single extension port. This feature increases the cost effectiveness of your system and helps eliminate extra wiring costs.
Caller ID Compatibility1 Displays the incoming caller's phone number or name when used with a Panasonic KX-T7000 series display phone. Display of name may not be available with some Caller ID services. The system can log up to 20 unanswered calls per extension. With the help of Caller ID1 and the Call Log feature you can identify those callers when you come back to your desk, allowing you to easily return the calls.
Flexible CO Line Buttons The central office (CO) line buttons on each telephone in the system can be programmed to suit the specific needs of each employee. You can alternately program CO line buttons for Direct Station Selection (DSS)/Busy Lamp Field (BLF), automatic dialing or one-touch access to the feature used most often.
Automatic Redial At the touch of a button the phone automatically redials the last number called. This feature can be extremely helpful when you're trying to get through to a busy party.
Proprietary Cordless Phone Integration The Panasonic KX-T7880 or KX-TD7896 (or KX-TD7896-W) cordless phone can easily integrate on a proprietary basis with the KX-TA624 System. The KX-TD7896 offers flexible keys with indicators that can be programmed to access central office lines. It also features intercom, redial, conference and hold buttons on the cordless handset, providing easy access to these functions even while you're away from the base unit.
Single Line Device Integration The KX-TA624 allows you to connect many types of telephone equipment, such as answering machines, cordless phones, fax machines and computer modems, without the need for costly additional cards or modules.
Direct Inward System Access (DISA) with Fax Detection and OGM With the addition of a KX-TA62491 DISA with Fax Detection and OGM Card, the KX-TA624 will provide a simplified "auto-attendant" feature with two custom 30-second outgoing messages. After dialing into the system callers can obtain single-digit access to extensions or ring groups at any time during or after the outgoing message. Callers who want to access the system's outside lines or place intercom calls can be required to dial a security code first. Additionally, if a fax call comes into a line that is programmed for DISA (and a CNG tone is detected), the system will automatically transfer the call to the designated fax extension, thereby eliminating the need for a dedicated fax line.
Station Message Detail Recording (SMDR) By connecting a serial printer to the system, or by attaching a call accounting system, you can obtain a record of calls. Know who called where, when, and for how long. Account codes may be assigned to keep track of costs to be billed to clients, employees, projects or departments.
Toll Restriction The KX-TA624 can be programmed to prohibit unauthorized outgoing long distance calls by restricting certain extensions from accessing specified area codes or exchanges.
Voice Mail Integration You can connect a Panasonic KX-TVS Series Voice Processing System to the KX-TA624 system without costly software or hardware upgrades. Give your business a highly professional edge with such features as automated attendant, voice mail, interview service and custom service scripts, matched to the needs of your business and its callers.
Door Phone & Door Opener With the addition of the optional KX-TA62460 Door Phone/Opener Adapter Card, the KX-TA624 System can interface with up to 4 door intercoms and 4 door contact closures for remote operation of electric door locks. It's an ideal way to add security to your home or small business suite. Time (Day/Night/Lunch) Service The system can automatically switch between day, night and lunch modes at a programmed time every day. The modes can also be changed manually by the operator or manager at any desired time.
